2018 Mazda CX-5: the SUV for those who like to drive

Mazda's new vehicles have always distinguished themselves in their respective segments by offering consumers fun, dynamic, agile and efficient vehicles to drive. Regardless of the type of Mazda vehicle or its purpose, you can rest assured that it will be fun to drive while being fuel efficient thanks to its exclusive SKYACTIV technology. The all-new 2018 Mazda CX-5 is no exception.

Two fuel-efficient engines for the 2018 Mazda CX-5

The new 2018 Mazda CX-5 offers two fuel-efficient engines that feature a lot of performance and overall efficiency. The two SKYACTIV-G engines in question are among the most powerful in their category while being among the most efficient as well.

The first engine is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 156 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque, and can be paired with a six-speed manual transmission. As a result, the 2018 Mazda CX-5 is one of the few SUVs to offer a manual transmission.

The other engine, which comes standard with the six-speed automatic transmission, is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. Both engines feature direct injection and the entire lineup of SKYACTIV system technologies.

In addition to being powerful, this engine impresses with an average fuel consumption rating of just 9.8 liters per 100 kilometers in the city, and 7.9 liters per 100 kilometers on the highway when paired with the all-wheel drive. In front-wheel drive versions, fuel consumption is even lower with an average of 9.3 liters per 100 kilometers in the city and 7.6 liters per 100 kilometers on the highway.

Three versions for the 2018 Mazda CX-5

The 2018 Mazda CX-5 will be available in three versions with the GX model starting at $ 25,800 as the entry-level model.
